OUTLOOK STATIONERY CREATION FOR ADVERTISING THROUGH YOUR EMAIL SIGNATURE AREA

These instructions apply to Microsoft XP Pro and may apply to other dialects of the Microsoft Windows Operating System.

1) CREATE YOUR STATIONERY

Create your HTML document / signature card to look anyway you like. It is just a standard HTML document that Outlook will append to your mail.

2) STORE THE HTML STATIONERY

The stationery is the HTML document stored into a special directory where Outlook finds stationery.

On my machine it is the following directory, might be different on yours.

You can find the path on your system by searching for 'Stationery' .

LOCATION ON MY MACHINE: C:\Program Files\Common FIles\Microsoft Shared\Stationery

NOTE ABOUT IMAGES: If using images in the html, make sure the images are on the web and are accessed through a proper URL and not through a file reference else people you send mail to will not see the images.

Put any HTML doc there with required images etc, and you can then choose it as your mail stationery in Outlook as follows:

3) SELECTING THE STATIONERY IN OUTLOOK:

In Outlook you then go to menus:

Tools -> Options -> Mail Format -> Stationary Picker

and choose the HTML document.
