DIFFERENCES IN APPROACH RELATIVE TO NET PROFIT

AutoMatic Sales

or

Personally Managing
a Customer Orders

EXAMPLE 1: AUTOMATIC ORDERS - CUSTOMER ORDERS THROUGH YOUR BUILT-IN STORE OR YOUR OWN TRAFFICSOLDIER™ COMPATIBLE RESELLER WEBSITE

When a customer orders though your built-in Node based store, the orders are processed automatically without Reseller intervention. This is a great tool and method to use for dealing with mass campaigns yielding substantial profit for transactions not involving your intervention or physical assistance. The results of such automated transactions are recorded automatically and typically immediately using various payment and/or credit card processors IPN (Instant Payment Notification) technology. IPN is secure protocol between the Node and the Payment Processor. The IPN data is used to populate the Node's database Order table(s) and store your Reseller ID along with the records for later commission reports and analysis.

As a Reseller you will have access to a reporting tool and may see all transactions immediately as they occur (query tool here).

Let's assume you are a reseller with a maximum allowable discount and commission rate of 50% of retail pricing. This means that you can discount for special customers up to 50% and you will then get a 50% net split at month end in the form of commission payments as well.

Here is an Example of this form of Automated transaction, Enabled by our TrafficSoldier™ Reseller website technology:

  Traffic Package Retail: $15.95

Discount: Let's state that in for this sale you set a discount of 10% for this Customer which is $1.60 off retail.

The final selling price is Retail - Discount to Customer = $14.35 selling price

So the Node owner sees a transaction entered into the Node database and some amount of money has been added to the Node owners payment processor account.

To begin to compute Reseller commissions based on that amount, we must review all the fees involved:

Example of Fees Involved for This Transaction
Payment Processor Fee
.39
Payment Processor Share
$0.72
Node Processing Fee:
$0.50

  Total Fees: $ 1.61

  Net: Selling price - Fees ~= $12.74

Your commission (profit) at month end is at your max discount rate: 50% = $6.37 or 44% of gross selling price.

EXAMPLE 2: MANUAL ORDERS - CUSTOMER ORDERS PERSONALLY THROUGH YOU AND YOU MANAGE THE ORDER MANUALLY & PERSONALLY.

If you sell at retail from your own website with the Customer payments flowing into your own payment processor account, and then You ordered it from the Node at full discount, then the profit is the commission plus your discount margin, or up to $15.95 * .75 - Node fee (if any) ~= $11.43 or 71.6% on one small sale! (Assumes a node processing fee of $0.50 per transaction).

Within this business model Node owner makes a small amount per transaction and the Reseller make the bulk of the profit. The Node owner will then work to coordinate the Customer Back Office profile setup and manage the Customer account once you hand their information off to the Node owner, freeing you typically from any further involvement with the sale and enabling you to return to marketing.

This method allows you to approach the maximum ideal profit margin of 75% of retail prices! The larger the package or product sold in general, the closer you get to reaching the maximum ideal profit of 75%.

When setting prices for the Products you resell, understand this computation well as you will get a large percentage of the sale back at the end of the month in the form of a commission payment based on your Reseller Level .

Remember, the lower the discount you give Customers, the higher your profit, so use your discount coupon abilities intelligently and do not discount everyone at your maximum discount rate.

Some Products have a varied maximum discount limit and commission rate or may have other restrictions set by the Node owner. See the Commission Schedule in the reseller area for details.

DISCLAIMER: THIS EXAMPLE IS IS FOR A PLATINUM OR DIAMOND RESELLER SELLING A TRAFFIC Products. OTHER RESELLER LEVELS WILL YIELD SLIGHTLY LESS PROFIT. IN ADDITION, SOME Products DO NOT HAVE A MAXIMUM DISCOUNT OR COMMISSION DEPENDING ON THE PRODUCT DETAILS AS SET BY THE NODE OWNER. THIS EXAMPLE ASSUMES MAXIMUM DISCOUNTABILITY AND MAXIMUM COMMISSION YIELDING A MAXIMUM NET PROFIT FOR THE RESELLER. THIS IS HOWEVER, A TYPICAL AND RELATIVELY ACCURATE EXAMPLE FOR TRAFFIC RELATED Products WITHIN A TYPICAL NODE. RESELLERS CAN EXPECT PROFIT POTENTIAL NEAR THE NUMBERS SHOWN WITHIN IN MOST CASES. THEY WILL VARY SLIGHTLY DUE TO PAYMENT PROCESSOR FEES, ANY SURCHARGES OR CHARGEBACKS IMPOSED ON THE NODE OWNER, YOUR CREDIT STATUS WITH THE NODE OWNER, AND YOUR HISTORY OF COMPLETED SALES. BECAUSE OF PAYMENT PROCESSING FEES, NODE FEES, OR OTHER MINOR CHARGES INVOLVED IN THE TRANSACTIONS, PROFIT WILL NEVER REACH THE MAXIMUM IDEAL PROFIT LEVEL AND IN GENERAL WILL ALWAYS BE SLIGHTLY LESS THAN THAT MAXIMUM.

When do I get paid?
Monthly on the 1st and 16th with a 5 business day variance to handle emergencies or other circumstances like holiday periods. Payments due of less than the minimum payout levels are carried forward to later reporting periods. The amount paid in the form of a commission payment is based on net profit computations for all verified monthly sales. Sales resulting in pending payments will be carried forward to later reporting periods until they have cleared and are verified. Early commissions may be requested periodically, but only in some cases. Transactions from unverified customers, funds that are questionable, and large transactions that occur near the end of a commission reporting period may be withheld for one or more periods until validated to protect from fraudulent activity. Payments are sent through Paypal by default. Stormpay is also a current option. Hardcheck is possible but there is a hardcheck processing fee. These payment processors are so unstable lately that we cannot guarantee availability on them and these may change. If hardcheck becomes the only option, the hardcheck fee will be free. At this time, as of 5/1/2004, both Stormpay and Paypal are available. If the reseller has a Paypal account in good standing, that WILL be the option. If there is a temporary problem with the reseller's Paypal account, we can send the money through Stormpay. In general, we can pay you via Paypal, Stormpay, or hard check.
